18 Reasons Bengals Are The Best Cat

18 Reasons Bengal Cats Are The Greatest Cat

  1. Bengals Have The Best Meow

Ever hear a bengal cat meow? They will definitely get your attention. Most bengal cats don’t like to be ignored or left out, and if you do, they will make their presence known to you. They will also let you know when they are hungry or when they want your affection. They are good even at showing you things and getting you to want to play with them.

  2. Bengals Look Like Miniature Leopards

Bengals are mostly known for their beautiful spots and their resemblance to leopards. The following excerpt is taken from Wikipedia about Bengal cats and their association to wild cats.

“The Bengal is a domestic cat breed developed to look like exotic jungle cats such as leopards, ocelots, margays and clouded leopards. Bengal cats were developed by the selective breeding of domestic cats crossed then backcrossed and backcrossed once more with hybrids from the Asian leopard cat (ALC), Prionailurus bengalensis bengalensis, and domestic cat, with the goal of creating a confident, healthy, and friendly cat with a highly contrasted and vividly marked coat.[1]

  3. Bengals Look Beautiful

To me and a lot of other people, bengal cats are one of the most beautiful cats in the world.

“Bengal cats have “wild-looking” markings, such as large spots, rosettes, and a light/white belly, and a body structure reminiscent of the leopard cat.[2] A Bengal’s rosetted spots occur only on the back and sides, with stripes elsewhere. The breed typically also features “mascara” (horizontal striping alongside the eyes), and foreleg striping. The eyes of a Bengal cat are relatively large and are usually bright blue or green.”2

  4. Bengal Cats Are Very Clean

Like most cats, Bengal cats are also very clean. They clean themselves and they clean each other. A bengal cat will absolutely hate a dirty kitty litter. They have very sensitive noses, so it is imperative that you keep their kitty litter box clean on a daily basis if not sooner. Bengal cats know each person in the house by their scent and are very scent sensitive.

You don’t want to have any harsh cleaners and toxic chemicals around a bengal cat. If possible, use green products that are natural and less sensitive to your cat’s acute senses. Also, feed them the right kind of high end cat food without toxic chemicals.

  5. Bengal Cats Are Playful And Fun

One of the greatest things about bengal cats is how playful and fun they are. Their sleek athletic cat bodies gives them ample opportunity to move around and play. They like to be active. They like socializing with you and with other cats. They even like to take a shower or a bath. Bengal cats are one of the most playful and lively cats out there. Keep that in mind when you are considering getting one for yourself. Can you handle the energy of a bengal cat? And most importantly, will you play with him or her all of the time? They do not like to be neglected and will know if you are not putting them as a top priority.

  6. Bengal Cats Fit In With Your Environment

Bengal cats will adapt well to your environment. With that said, you should have special spaces for your cat to rest, preferable up high. Bengal cats will love to jump on things, especially from one height to another. Make a series of places for your cat to jump up to and to relax. She will be forever grateful for creating a great environment for her.

  7. Bengal Cats Are Very Good Company

Like some people we know, most bengal cats do not like to be alone for too long. It’s not that you have to be paying attention to them 24/7, it’s mostly that they like to know you are there, around the house, or nearby. Often times they will seek out your company, and want only your attention. They will just hang out with you and be very good company.

They will also tell you ancient secrets if you listen with your spirit. Over time, you may connect with them energetically and emotionally. You will just know what your cat is telling you or asking you. You can communicate with your bengal cat this way.

  8. Bengal Cats Know “What’s Up!”

Bengal cats are very intuitive. They are probably smarter than a lot of people we might know. They can read people and know exactly where you are in the pecking order of your family and with your friends. They will even give you guidance, if you are attune to it, on how to react and to respond to some certain people. They will also advise you who to stay away from. If a bengal cat hates a person, be very weary of them. This can be a red flag that that particular person is not for you but is rather very much against you, even if he or she puts on a good front.

  9. Bengal Cats Will Entertain You Day And Night

Bengal cats are very interesting creatures. Each one has his or her own personality, and it may take you a little while to get to know him or her. With that said, you can be continually amazed at the level and depth of a Bengal cat. Each one will keep you entertained for hours on end. There is always something endearing he or she will do, especially for you, and some of them are quite good at making you laugh. If you are getting to serious or stressed out, most Bengal cats will help you look at things on the lighter side.

Always treat your Bengal cat with the utmost love and respect. He or she will be one of your greatest friends for life. She always needs to know that she can trust you. If you break that trust even once, you will lose a lot of the connection with your Bengal cat and it may even be for life. It is not worth the risk.
